## What data the site processes

The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, embedded content, third-party scripts or web fonts. It's hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes the IP address and request details of every visit on my behalf. In Cloudflare's dashboard I see aggregate traffic numbers and the details of requests that its security features block or challenge. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report network errors to it. I don't build profiles of visitors.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If you email me, I use your message and address only to answer you.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how I process it, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the [Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens](https://www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/).

## Search engines and AI tools

Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl, index and quote this site, and AI models may learn from it. I want CloudRING to be easy to find and understand. The site's [robots.txt](/robots.txt) says so with Content Signals, and every page is also available as plain Markdown, listed in [llms.txt](/llms.txt), so tools can read it without parsing HTML.

## How this site was written

The text was drafted with help from AI tools and reviewed by the maintainer before publication. Most factual claims link to their sources in the repository.
